Season Up and running

Wednesday, 3rd March 2010

At last the start of the 2010 season is underway, don't get to excited as there is very little to report. The 15th of February saw the usual hardy anglers take to the water on Lough Corrib but catch returns could have been recorded on the back of a match box. 3 or 4 trout were reported in the greenfields area on the 15th , Ballindiff anglers reports were even worse and to be honest the whole lake was extremely slow.  It's not something to worry about as we have just experienced the coldest winter in 50years. My advice is to sit tight and wait for a rise in temp, we have been patient all winter and another week or two should see the appearance of some Duck Fly. As soon as angling effort increases and things start to happen I will let you all know.

Tight Lines,

Larry.
