Olives and Buzzer are here

Sunday, 25th April 2010

Last Monday saw the first big movement of fish to olives, I boated one angler Monday and Tuesday and he landed 8 good trout around the saddle island area of Lough Corrib, fish were up and busy on dry olive patterns.Wednesday  myself and Andrew fished and caught 4 fish to 4lb the best fish was caught in the evening on a dry buzzer pattern which was the first signs of a Camto rise this year. Father and Son  Dick and Alex Yorke over from wales fished with me on Thursday 22nd for 6 fish to buzzer nymphs, Friday 23rd they had 10 good trout to 3lb and yesterday the 24th they had 12 trout so things are obviously picking up.With settled weather forecast the angling can only improve .

Tight lines,  Larry.
