Alternative Fishing

We are fortunate in our location here at Corrib Angling Services, that we have two of the premier brown trout rivers in the west of Ireland on our doorstep. The Robe river and the Clare River have an abundance of above average size trout. We target these right throughout the season, but specifically during those long halcyon summer days where we can walk for miles with peace and quiet, in search of leviathans sipping flies. An added bonus is that the Clare river has a huge run of Atlantic salmon, large spring fish arriving in late April and early May, and a fantastic grilse run in June and July.

Hill Loughs

The fish in these loughs may not be the biggest fish in the world, but they are extremely free rising, completely wild, and they are in hugenumbers. Where better to fish, than hill loughs with surroundings that astound you? We target these fish with five weight rods and light leaders. This makes for exciting and frantic action packed days.
